55V 150mA Linear LED Current Driver
DESCRIPTION
The EV5491Q is a 42V, single-channel, linear LED current driver with 60V transient peak input capability. Output current is externally programmable up to 150mA with a single external resistor. Current accuracy of ±5% or better is achieved. Operating quiescent current is 2.1mA typically, reducing to 20µA when disabled.
LED Light output is dimmable via the internal PWM generator with externally programmable frequency and duty-cycle. Additional slave EV5491Qs may be connected to increase the number of synchronized LED strings. In the case of PWM generator failure, a redundant control path is provided to bypass the PWM generator and turn on the current output.
Internal protection circuitry includes output open and short reporting and protection, input voltage current foldback, and thermal shutdown. The EV5491Q is available in a thermally enhanced low profile (0.75mm) 48-pin 7mm x 7mm QFN package with wettable flanks and exposed pad.
